The region had seen a wide range of rain totals from yesterday's storms. The highest rainfall reported is in Tarrytown at 4.79" of rain, while Mount Ivy saw 3.70", Lake Carmel, 2.67", White Plains, 2.51", and Tuxedo Park, 1.84"
Forecast:
Sunshine and clouds will mix this afternoon. It will be a little breezy, humid, warm, and a pop-up shower or storm cannot be ruled out in the afternoon. It will not be a washout, however, and you will not need to plan around widespread storm concerns for the rest of the day. Skies will continue to decrease heading into the night, setting up a cool and starry night.
Temperatures will be near normal by the afternoon in the low to mid-80s. However, this is a very isolated and small chance for a storm to develop in the afternoon/evening. There is a marginal risk (level 1 out of 5) of severe weather in the southernmost areas of the region, with damaging winds and a downpour as the main threats. However, again, this is a very small chance, and the threat may be to the south and east, away from the region.
The rest of the forecast is smooth as butter. High pressure will dominate the area for the next few days, which will lead to very pleasant conditions. Sunshine, low humidity, and temperatures ranging from the upper 70s to the low 80s.
