FORECAST
Breezy but comfortable conditions continue through Father’s Day weekend before soaking rain returns Monday.
The Hudson Valley is wrapping up the workweek with nearly perfect weather conditions. Sunshine and passing clouds will mix throughout the day, while humidity levels remain low and temperatures settle back to seasonable levels.
The only drawback will be the wind. Gusts between 20 and 30 mph are expected through the afternoon, making it feel a bit breezy at times. Despite the wind, conditions will be ideal for outdoor activities.
Those attending Juneteenth celebrations and events across the region can expect pleasant weather overall. Just be prepared for the occasional gusty breeze.
The breezy pattern will continue through much of the weekend before gradually easing Saturday night. High pressure remains in control through Sunday, providing plenty of sunshine, comfortable humidity, and seasonable temperatures.
Father’s Day is shaping up to be another excellent day to spend outdoors, with dry conditions and a mix of sun and clouds.
Changes arrive early next week as a strong storm system moves in from the west. Widespread soaking rain is expected on Monday, bringing much-needed rainfall to a region that continues to experience severe drought conditions. The storm system will also usher in a cooler air mass, sending temperatures below average for the start of next week.
