7-year-old girl killed after being struck by school bus in Monsey

A Rockland County man has been convicted of sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl, according to prosecutors.

The Rockland County District Attorney's Office said Byron Gutierrez-Rosil, of Chestnut Ridge, was found guilty on all charges following a trial.

Prosecutors said Gutierrez-Rosil raped and abused the child twice inside her home last year.

Authorities said the girl later told her mother about the abuse.

Gutierrez-Rosil faces at least 10 years in prison when he is sentenced.
