A Poughkeepsie man is behind bars, accused of firing a gun at people in Dutchess County.

The District Attorney’s Office says 23-year-old Michal Herman has been arraigned on several felony charges.

Prosecutors say the incident happened last September in Poughkeepsie, when he allegedly fired a gun at two people across the street.

According to investigators, surveillance cameras helped them identify the suspect.

Herman is due back in court next month.
