A portion of Valley Avenue in Elmsford was briefly closed Tuesday following heavy rains and flooding.
This portion of the road is near the entrance of the southbound lanes to the Saw Mill River Parkway.
"I woke up and it was just flooded everywhere," said Tay, who is visiting the area.
Drivers navigated other routes until the road reopened.
People who live and work in the area told News 12 that flooding isn't entirely rare here.
"The flooding, not necessarily every year but too often," said Bill Westrick, who co-owns a business nearby.
Officials urge drivers to be careful on the roads as conditions change throughout Tuesday night.
