Evenflo has announced a voluntary recall of nearly 60,000 REO car seats in the United States because the headrest may shift position under certain conditions, potentially increasing the risk of injury in a crash. No injuries have been reported.

The recall affects 59,661 REO car seats with model numbers beginning with CS26021 that were sold in the United States and Canada between March 2025 and the present. No other Evenflo car seats, including the Revolve180, Revolve360, Revolve360 Extend and Revolve360 Slim models, are included in the recall.

The company said recent post-production laboratory testing found the headrest could change position when adjusted to the two highest settings in forward-facing mode or the highest setting in rear-facing mode. According to a safety recall report filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the issue was identified after agency testing of one of the seats.

Until a free remedy is available, the company said affected car seats can continue to be used if the headrest is adjusted only to positions 1 through 9 in forward-facing mode or positions 1 through 10 in rear-facing mode.

Parents whose children require the highest headrest positions are encouraged to contact Evenflo's ParentLink Consumer Care team for assistance.

Evenflo said it is developing a repair kit and will notify registered owners when a free remedy becomes available. The company advised customers not to return affected car seats.

Consumers can determine whether their seat is included by checking the model number on the label located on the back of the car seat shell. Affected U.S. model numbers are CS260212521 (Brookline), CS260212522 (Lenox), CS260212536 (Holden), CS260212537 (Nantucket), CS260212538 (Danvers) and CS260212539 (Chelsea).
