Demands for justice grow as loved ones mourn loss of young man killed in Yonkers shooting

News 12 is hearing from the family and loved ones of a young man who was killed in a shooting in Yonkers.
"I don't understand, I can't even tell you the pain that we're in right now," says Rosa Garcia.
That deep pain for Rosa Garcia and her family is the loss of her adopted son, Brandon Garcia. He was in his early 20's.
He was fatally shot Sunday night near the corner of Palisade Avenue and Elm Street in Yonkers.
A 15-year-old fired eight rounds from a handgun at a group of people, according to police.
Four teenagers, including a 14-year-old girl, were also hit.
All are expected to recover from their injuries, according to a press release from the Yonkers Police Department.

Brandon's family says he was an innocent bystander and was in the area at the wrong time.
"He was just in the wrong place," said Brandon's adoptive father, Carlos Garcia.
Rosa says he went to the store to get something to drink.
Carlos and Rosa say they took Brandon in as foster parents when he was just 6 and adopted him a couple years later. They live in Virginia.
"The reason we left New York was so he could be in a better atmosphere, a better school system," Rosa Garcia tells News 12.
Rosa says Brandon would come back to New York to visit his biological mother.
"We raised him the right way, he was doing well. He was a good kid I promise you," says Rosa Garcia.
The 15-year-old accused of killing Brandon faces several charges including second-degree murder.
The recovered firearm near the scene was a 9 mm Taurus semi-automatic handgun that was reported stolen out of Georgia, according to police.
"Somebody has got to do something, take these guns off the streets," says Carlos Garcia.
