Multiple children were electrocuted after they came into contact with live wires that fell at a camp, according to a spokesperson for Sullivan County's Public Safety Division.

Emergency personnel were called to "Camp Shopron" in Fallsburg around 1 p.m. on Wednesday. At least three children, as young as 9 years old, were wounded during the incident, officials say.

The children were flown to Westchester Medical Center, where they received care from the hospital's trauma burn team. The hospital says all three kids are expected to be OK. A Sullivan County spokesman says the three children injured in downed wires are from Brooklyn.

A Westchester Medical Center spokesperson says the three children are all stable and in good condition.

New York State Electric and Gas crews were on scene Wednesday evening to remove the downed wire.

Information about what caused the wire to fall was not immediately known.
