Police: 2 men face charges related to illegal gambling operations in Spring Valley

Police executed multiple search warrants on Aug. 12 for illegal gambling operations that were occurring at 44 N. Main St. and 26 N. Main St.

Two men are facing charges in connection with illegal gambling operations in Spring Valley, police say.

Police executed multiple search warrants on Aug. 12 for illegal gambling operations that were occurring at 44 N. Main St. and 26 N. Main St.

As a result, Cesar Hernandez-Amparo, of Hillcrest, and Jose Chavez-Torres, of Spring Valley, were arrested.

Both were charged with promoting gambling, possession of gambling records and possession of a gambling device. Police say the men were released on appearance tickets.

New York State Police and the Rockland County Sheriff's Office Bureau of Criminal Investigations also assisted police in this investigation.
