The Summer warmth and humidity is back and so is the chance of rain today. Keep you umbrellas handy for spotty showers this morning through this evening. Today's highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s.
Scattered showers become more consistent after 12PM through midnight. A few downpours is possible this evening with the risk of puddles and ponding in low-lying communities. As the storm passes tonight, a drier and refreshing airmass arrives on Friday with warm temperatures near 80 degrees.
Temperatures will cool down this weekend to the upper 60s. Saturday will be your best bet for any outdoor activities with plenty of sunshine. Meanwhile, Sunday will likely be a washout with higher humidity. The latest trends brings the storm system Sunday morning through early Monday morning. Widespread steady rainfall with a few downpours will bring a risk for localized flooding. Up to an inch of rainfall is possible. However, the timing, totals and impacts will vary over the next 24 hours.
There is some uncertainty with how long Sunday's storm will stall into early next week. Some models are keeping the storm South of the area on Monday and Tuesday.
