WHAT TO KNOW

Clear, cooler, and crisp air settles in overnight. Expect temperatures to drop into the low to mid-50s as a cool, steady breeze blows in from the northeast.

Sunday brings overcast skies and breezy conditions. Waves of off-and-on showers will push through Connecticut, especially during the afternoon.

While heavy, soaking rains aren't expected, you'll want to keep a jacket or umbrella handy for periodic light rain and damp conditions throughout the day.

Brilliantly sunny skies return next week on Monday with mild temperatures, but a sharp cold front drops temperatures by Tuesday and Wednesday. Mornings will start out chilly in the 40s, with afternoon highs struggling to get out of the around the 60-degree mark, bringing the first true taste of cold autumn air to Connecticut.
