A federal corrections officer accused earlier this year of having sex with an inmate at Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing an individual in federal custody.

Jordan Pensak, 27, of Middlesex County, entered the plea in Camden federal court, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for New Jersey.

She was working as a corrections officer at Fort Dix when she had sex with an inmate in January 2026. Prosecutors described the relationship as consensual.

The two also exchanged sexually explicit photographs and messages through social media and other apps. The inmate used two contraband cellphones to communicate with Pensak, according to prosecutors.

In text messages sent to several people, including members of the inmate’s family, Pensak admitted to the relationship. In one message, she expressed concern that she might be pregnant with the inmate’s child.

Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 10, 2027. The offense carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.
