The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree has arrived in New York City.
This year's tree came from West Edmeston, New York, more than 200 miles from Rockefeller Center.
The 76-foot Norway spruce is about 75 years old, measures 50 feet in diameter and weighs approximately 11 tons.
Since 2018, the tree has been topped by a Swarovski star designed by architect Daniel Libeskind. The star measures more than 9 feet in diameter and features 3 million crystals.
The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree tradition began in December 1931, when construction workers pooled their earnings to buy a 20-foot balsam fir. Their families decorated the tree with handmade garlands.
This year's tree-lighting ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. The tree is on display now through Jan. 9, 2027.
