Police say a 22-year-old man was shot and killed in Belmont Friday night.
Friends of the victim say they heard four shots ring out at around 9 p.m. He was found with gunshot wounds to the chest in front of 2414 Beaumont Ave.
One friend says she stayed with him and told him to hold on, but he died before police arrived at the scene. He was pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital.
The man's identity has not been officially released, but friends say they knew him as "Zully."
Friends say he had a 1-year-old daughter and another child on the way.
