On Friday, officials investigated a phone call from a man who said he was holding hostages at the Rodeway Inn.
Scipio D. Dubois, 29, was apparently holding three children - 4, 2 and 1 years old - against their parent's will.
Even after negotiations over the phone, the Kingston man refused to release the children or to exit the room.
New York State Police Special Operations Response Team made entry into the room and safely got the children out.
Dubois was taken into custody and arraigned.
