The Archdiocese of New York has announced that 12 Catholic schools are not going to reopen for the 2022-23 school year, and three Hudson Valley school will also see changes.
All of the impacted schools being closed are in Manhattan and the Bronx. Four other schools are being merged into two, that is happening also in the Bronx.
Three schools, two in Westchester, one in Orange, will eliminate grades 6-8 in 2022-23 school year:
St. James the Apostle School in Carmel NY
St. Columbanus in Cortlandt Manor NY
Most Precious Blood School in Walden NY
All three schools will continue to offer Catholic education for pre-K through fifth grade.
