Three Hudson valley chefs were announced on Wednesday as semifinalists for the 2024 James Beard Awards.
The semifinalists contending for best chef in New York state include Doris Choi, who owns Good Night in Woodstock, Chris Mauricio, who owns Harana Market and Clare de Boer, who runs Stissing House in Pine Plains.
The awards recognize top talent in the culinary arts and hospitality, as well as a demonstrated commitment to social diversity and cultural inclusion.
Nominees will be announced April 3, and winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in June.
