The victim, Edgar Stone, 38, was found lying in the driveway of a home on Willella Place in the Town of Newburgh last August.
Authorities say Stone was assaulted and died four days later.

Two other defendants, 33-year-old Danaya Matychak and 41-year-old Marcia Strang, both from Newburgh, pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide. They were each sentenced to one to three years in prison.
