Rockland County has confirmed three new cases of measles, according to Department of Health Commissioner Dr. Mary Leahy.

Officials say on Thursday, Oct. 23, a Rockland resident who had recently returned from international travel tested positive for measles.

As a result of that case, two other known contacts also became infected.

The county is urging residents to confirm their immunity to the measles, likely through vaccination.
