Three people were rescued from the waters off of Manursing Island after their boat sank on Sunday evening, officials say.
The City of Rye police and the Westchester County police marine units responded to reports of people shouting for help.
According to officials, the boat went under approximately 45 minutes before units arrived on scene.
Crews rescued the boaters and the county marine unit transported them to Rye Playland.
Officials say all three people turned down medical attention.
Sea Tow responded to help recover the sunken boat.
It was not clear what caused the boat to sink as of Sunday night.
