Officials in Rockland County have announced that 40 people were arrested in a pre-dawn raid today in connection with illegal drug sales across the county.
Prosecutors say the group, some of whom are alleged gang members, were selling a wide range of drugs from prescription drugs such as Oxycodone to illegal drugs such as heroin.
Officials say the drugs were being sold at places such as the Palisades Center Mall and at fast food and grocery stores in the county.
Authorities say the investigation took 10 months and involved multiple agencies.
The suspects will likely be arraigned at the Rockland County Courthouse tomorrow, according to officials.
