New York's Democratic leaders have decidedto put all five candidates for attorney general on the ballot forone big primary.
State Democratic Chairman Jay Jacobs says the decision was madebecause the candidates have all worked hard for a year and all haveat least pockets of strong support among county chairmen. He saysTuesday the decision also shows the party embraces openness andrespects the views of upstate county chairmen.
The candidates for attorney general are Nassau County DistrictAttorney Kathleen Rice, Assemblyman Richard Brodsky of WestchesterCounty, former state Insurance Department Superintendent EricDinallo, former prosecutor Sean Coffey, and state Sen. EricSchneiderman of Manhattan.
