Saturday marked the fifth annual Headless Horseman Plunge in Sleepy Hollow, organized by the Gullota House.

Roughly 50 people were motivated to take an ice-cold dunk at Kingsland Point Park for a good cause.

The money raised goes to Westchester families in need by way of scholarships, free meals, and whatever else in between.

Last year, some of that money went to Rich Sanato's aunt. She died last year from cancer.

Sanato came from Florida this year just for the plunge.

"Just happy to come out and support Matt and his awesome cause," he said.

Organizers had a goal of $18,000 -- they've already exceeded it.

"We have hardships going on all over Westchester County," said Matthew Gullotta, who runs the foundation. "We need people to come together."

Gullotta himself plunged into the Hudson, even after having surgery just weeks ago.

The Gullota House is accepting donations until Sunday.
