A fifth person is in police custody in connection to a fatal fire at a Spring Valley assisted living facility in March.
Manuel Lema turned
himself in on Friday. Six people were charged earlier this week, but police are
waiting for one more person to turn themselves in.
Nathaniel
and Aaron Sommer independently hired to make the kitchen Kosher. They are
facing the most severe charges connected to Evergreen Court.
Court documents
allege the Sommers used a propane tank marked for "outdoor use only"
to "heat appliances, surfaces and other items in the kitchen."
They face up to 15
years in prison if convicted.
There is no word
yet on Lema's connection to the fire. The district attorney has only
said the charges stem from "actions within the facility prior to the
fire."
