yesterdaySeven officers were hospitalized after several attacks on staff at Sing Sing correctional facility.
Inmates were returning from recreation last Tuesday when one of them refused orders from an officer.
News 12 was told the inmate became agitated and struck an officer in the face several times before police could restrain the inmate.
Following that incident, there were two more attacks resulting in nine officers being injured. Seven were taken to a hospital.
