A dramatic rescue unfolded at the West Branch Reservoir in Mahopac after a 76-year-old woman's car became partially submerged in the water.
Carmel police responded to the scene off Washington Road and sprang into action. Officers entered the water and successfully removed the driver from the car.
Fortunately, the woman was not injured during the ordeal.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation by authorities.
