Crews battle raging Rockland County house fire; cause under investigation

Rockland's Emergency Services Director tells News 12 the fire started on a second floor rear porch. The fire went into the house and up to the attic.

Crews batted a raging house fire at a home in Rockland County Sunday.
The fire broke out at 19 Main St. in Monsey just before 6 p.m. and engulfed the side of the house.
Rockland's Emergency Services Director tells News 12 the fire started on a second floor rear porch. The fire went into the house and up to the attic.
It took firefighters from seven area departments about 45 minutes to put the fire out.
Fire officials confirm an 85-year-old man was pulled from the house with minor injuries.
One firefighter twisted his knee.
There were no other injuries.
The cause is under investigation.
