Summer is heating up and so are the travel trends.
AAA is forecasting a record-breaking travel weekend going into the July 4th holiday.
AAA is predicting that nearly 51 million Americans will travel for the Fourth of July weekend and that's an all-time record.
Airfare is up as much as 50% over last year and there will be a record 4.2 million flyers set to take off this weekend.
Gas prices are holding steady and travel experts predict there won't be much pain at the pump.
But drivers need to be smart about when they leave.
"Friday is going to be the worst day for driving because everyone's gonna be on the road at that time. So, if you can leave Thursday night, or Saturday morning, that would be ideal,” says Andrew Gross, AAA spokesperson
