Abilis nonprofit hosts Mardi Gras dinner in Greenwich

Abilis, a nonprofit based Fairfield County, hosted a Mardi Gras‑themed formal dinner dance for hundreds of community members at its annual Together We Shine event.

The nonprofit provides programs and services for children and adults of all abilities, from birth throughout their lives. The celebration in Greenwich featured a red carpet entrance, dinner and dancing.

The Abilis Youth Board, made up of 40 local teenagers from 14 high schools, organized the event.

Abilis offers a wide range of life services programs, including recreational activities, transition and life‑skills support, job training, competitive and supported employment, and various residential options. It serves more than 800 individuals with disabilities and their families throughout Fairfield County.
