The community of White Plains rallied on Thursday for families who've lost loved ones to police violence.
The gathering was held at Renaissance Plaza in direct response to the shooting death of Jarrell Garris by New Rochelle police back in June.
Bodycam footage released by the New Rochelle Police Department showed officers and a detective confronting Garris on Lincoln Avenue and asking about stolen food.
Police say Garris reached at one of the officer's guns, which is when Garris was shot.
