An Afghan woman with ties to Westchester County is among the many missing in Thursday's suicide bombings outside the Kabul airport.
Family members say that they have not heard from Freshta Nazari, who was at the airport trying to flee Afghanistan.
They say the 24-year-old women's right's activist was standing exactly where the suicide bombs went off just hours before the explosions.
They are hoping for the best and are in contact with local officials to try and get answers about what's happening to their loved one.
"I don't where she is. I'm kind of worried that god forbid she's not a victim, she's not one of the victims of [Thursday's] blast, so that makes me very worried and anxious," said Sofia Bator, her cousin.
The attacks claimed the lives of 13 U.S. service men, women, and dozens more Afghans.
