A Larchmont business came to the aid of a Mamaroneck business after it suffered damage from the remnants of Hurricane Ida.
For more than a decade, thousands of people have earned their driver licenses at Formula Driving School. In the last year, the Mamaroneck business has gone through one of its biggest challenges.
The business was inundated by the remnants of Hurricane Ida, alongside many others along Mamaroneck Avenue.
A sliver of hope did shine through – in the form of another local business in the town over. Following a request for assistance The Idea Kitchen in Larchmont stepped in.
"The Idea kitchen is a suburban call working space that meets the needs of a variety of different kinds of workers," says Adam Stoltz, of The Idea Kitchen. "We really felt like it was incumbent upon us since we had a safe and a dry and an active space to be able to support others as they were continuing to deliver on their missions."
It allowed staff to get their jobs done while picking up the pieces.
The Formula Driving School is back in business in its refurbished building.
