Four people were injured in a
Yonkers car crash Wednesday night.
Police say a red Audi was driving on a spare tire in the northbound
lane on Central Park Avenue when the tire came off. It caused the Audi to spin
out and strike a black SUV head-on that was in the southbound lane.
The two
occupants in one car were taken to Jacobi Medical Center, and the two occupants
in the other car were taken to Westchester Medical Center for their injuries.
All are expected to survive at this time.
The roads were shut down for
hours with heavily damaged cars and debris, but have since reopened.
Police say it appears to be
an accident and there have been no arrests or any charges.
