Westchester County police say a traffic stop this week led to the arrest of a man who was wanted for attempted murder.
According to a Facebook post, officers were notified that a car stolen from Philadelphia was driving on the Hutchinson River Parkway in White Plains.
Police say the driver, Joseph Serge, initially lied about who he was during a stop near the Harrison-Rye border.
After identifying him, police say they realized Serge was wanted on attempted murder charges in Brooklyn.
Serge was turned over to the NYPD. A person who was riding with him was released without charges.
