A blood drive will be held Friday in Middletown with the goal to replenish low supply.
Summer usually means a lower blood supply and greater need.
That's why state police and the New York Blood Center will host the drive at state police headquarters from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
One pint of blood can save up to three lives.
Walk ins will be accepted, but appointments are preferred.
