All westbound LIE lanes have reopened after a crash Friday afternoon.
The New York State Department of Transportation says that the crash reportedly happened near Exit 53.
Traffic on North Service Road was shut down at Commack Road for a single vehicle crash that seriously injured the driver, according to Suffolk police. The vehicle was travelling westbound on the LIE in Dix Hills when it left the roadway, hit a pole and then overturned.
Police say the driver was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip.
