Amenia man arrested in fatal Dutchess County stabbing

First responders were unable to save the victim, Juan C. Cedillo, 45, of Amenia. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An Amenia man has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in Dutchess County.
State police say troopers responded South Amenia Road on Jan. 16 for a report of a stabbing by Dutchess County 911.
First responders were unable to save the victim, Juan C. Cedillo, 45, of Amenia. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say David A. Trotta Jr., 26, was immediately taken into custody. He has been charged with murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon.
Trotta has been remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail. He will be in court next on Jan. 21.
