An owl was rescued in the Town of Greenburgh.
The Animal Control Unit responded to a call for the injured Barred owl in front of a business in Ardsley.
Animal Control Sgt. Ben Fontanilles told News 12 he's a bird lover and has never seen an owl that close, so holding one for the first time was amazing.
He also says the owl may have hurt it's eye.
It was taken to a South Salem nonprofit Animal Nation for rehab.
