During a year of COVID-19-related lockdowns, some people had to get creative to find ways to get out of the house.

Boating became very popular during the pandemic.
“You can’t buy a kayak these days. It’s very hard,” Craven says.
But now with COVID-19 restrictions lifted, there is a community of boaters - all to support a good cause. Ladies' Kayak Day in Ossining is back on this year. Al proceeds benefitting the SPCA of Westchester.
The annual tradition at the Schattemuc Yacht Club - started as an event just for women five years ago. But it is now drawing out families. Organizers say that 150 people have signed up.
