The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is setting up a huge recovery and rehabilitation center in Pawling.
The 50,000-square foot facility will be used to treat severely abused and neglected dogs and get them ready for their forever home.
Most of the animals will come from New York City.
This is part of an initiative by the ASPCA to rescue the most vulnerable animals and improve their chances of adoption.
