5ds agoA state Assembly member is advocating for more safety measures on the Taconic State Parkway after an officer in his district died on the road in mid-December.
Officer Daniel DiDato's cruiser veered off the road and hit a tree Dec. 18.
Assembly Member Anil Beephan has written a letter to the New York Department of Transportation, proposing the department install a guide rail in that area.
Meanwhile, the East Fishkill Police Department released a message thanking their community for supporting officers in their grief.
