An MTA audit has found that subway lines in the Bronx and the rest of the city are overcrowded and often late.The audit looked at every subway line in the city, examining how often trains were late, how crowded they were and if more trains could be added to relieve the congestion. According to the audit, the 4, 5 and 6 trains were in the worst shape in the borough. During the morning rush hour, the audit found the trains had more people than the agency's limit. The audit also claims that it isn't possible to add more trains during the peak commute times for the "4" and "5" lines.A report in the New York Times says that the city's transit president insists Mayor Bloomberg's congestion pricing plan will only make the problem worse if it is approved.
