A 70-year-old Ulster County BOCES teacher was arrested and charged with official misconduct for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old student.
Authorities say Ronnie Greene, of Ellenville, provided a student with a cellphone so he could communicate with the youth privately.
Greene allegedly engaged in inappropriate conversations of a sexual nature with the student, the Ulster County Sheriff's Office said.
Greene surrendered to detectives on Thursday, was arraigned and released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
