A Connecticut man has been arrested for harassing a state trooper who was checking on a crashed biker.
John Horton, 26, of Danbury, faces charges including assault, tampering with evidence and conspiracy.
The incident occurred when Horton allegedly stole a hat from the trooper's car, prompting a group of about 40 bikers to surround and harass the officer.
Horton was arraigned and remanded to Dutchess County Jail. He is scheduled to return to court Friday.
Bail was set at $20,000 cash, $40,000 bond or $80,000 partially secured bond.
