Authorities say a man was caught trying to bring a loaded gun onto a plane at Westchester County Airport Monday.
Transportation Security Administration officers say the Florida man had a 9 mm handgun that was loaded with seven bullets, including one in the chamber, when he was trying to get onto his flight.
Officials say an X-ray alerted them to inspect his carry-on bag, and the gun was subsequently removed by police.
They say the man told officials he forgot he had his loaded gun with him.
