Investigators say a black bear crossing Route 9W in Orange Friday morning sparked a crash involving multiple vehicles.
The incident took place at around 8:00 a.m. when a driver slammed on the brakes to avoid the animal. Other crashes then followed.
Highlands Police Department Officer Phil Gavigan says luckily, no one was hurt in the crash.
