A bear was spotted in Nyack on Wednesday.

News 12 is told the bear climbed a tree in someone’s yard and hung out for nearly 45 minutes before scurrying away.

According to animal control, the furry creature is said to be about 1 year old.

Neighbors say while the sighting is exciting, they typically see a bear or two each summer.
