Best Buy on Thursday recalled 930,000 pressure cookers due to a defect that can cause hot food and liquid to spew from its devices, causing possible burns.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission was the first to
report the recall after the retailer said it has received dozens of reports of the cooker's contents being expelled under pressure and 17 people suffering burn injuries.
The device also was noted to have incorrect volume markings on their inner pots, which can cause overfilled contents to eject when pressurized.
