Residents of Palisade Towers in Yonkers who have been without gas since August due to a leak may soon switch to electricity as bidders toured the complex Thursday.
Two potential bidders inspected the buildings to assess conditions and plan electrification, officials from the apartment complex said.
Building representative Kara Magoolaghan stated, "What's going to happen next is we're in the procurement process now. Bids are due April 21, so we invite as many bids as possible to get the best price and competitive bid for this job."
The tour helps bidders decide whether to submit proposals to convert the property from gas to electric.
Officials noted other contractors can download the request for proposal online.
