A Bronx student who says gang members have repeatedly attacked him supports an anti-gang bill that's winding through the state Legislature.
The student, who did not want to be identified, says he often sees gang members hanging around schools. He says they attack students as they leave school and strip them of possessions. The student says gang members have even stolen his jacket. The teen has switched schools several times, but his father says there is a bigger issue.
Several state lawmakers agree. They've proposed a bill that calls for banning gang apparel and imposing prison sentences and fines for gang involvement. The bill is currently making its way through an education committee.
